Yum! Restaurants International (YRI), based in Dallas, Texas, is the largest division of Yum! Brands with more than 11,000 restaurants outside the U.S. (excluding Yum! China Division). In each of the last six years, YRI has opened over 700 new restaurants.

In order to keep its retail concepts fresh and appealing, YRI maintains a team of concept developers that upon various capabilities and insights from outside, thus ensuring novel concepts. A key to this is exploring the essence of a brand and ensuring the “brand permission” is not challenged while at the same time identifying differentiating ideas.
